This role requires strong computer skills, a level of initiative to work independently on long term project goals, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders. The Computer Specialist plays a critical role in support of Essential Operating Disciplines., * Serve as the primary operations resource for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of the Distributed Control Systems (DCS). * Assist the DCS engineer with basic configuration changes, tuning, HMI changes, etc. as needed. * Prepare and support equipment monitoring routes and mobile devices used to complete these routes. * Support electronic logbook tools for operations. * Maintain and troubleshoot the process historian and create new data points as needed. * Create and maintain PI Vision displays and manage security to PI Vision. * Maintain the alarm database and update as needed. * Maintain area security groups and add / remove personnel as needed. * Manage and execute DCS software and security updates for the area. * Serve as area ROL designee and assume responsibility for ICS Security. * Perform special projects and job duties as identified or as assigned. ## Related Videos - [You’re a great coder?
