* Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design
 * Hands-on experience in backend web development and software development for cloud-based or distributed systems
 * Proficiency in one or more modern backend languages, such as Java, C#, Python, Go, or Node.js
 * Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design best practices
 * Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs or GraphQL APIs
 * Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
 * Familiarity with Git, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code-review workflows
 * Ability to communicate clearly and solve problems in a remote, collaborative environment
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience
 * Experience with scalable architectures, microservices, event-driven systems, HR technology, or marketplaces is a plus
