Briefly explain a project you've completed with hands on work. * Will you now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B)? ## Description We seek a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and repair vibration isolation platforms and magnetic field cancellation systems at customer facilities that support electron microscopes, advanced semiconductor equipment, and other high-tech equipment. This position involves hands-on technical work, light construction work, some rigging, frequent travel to customer sites, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest customer satisfaction. VEC is a small business with offices in Burlingame, CA, and Houston, TX-the opportunity to grow with the company and take on additional responsibilities., Product Installation & Commissioning: * Lead or assist in installing specialized active vibration isolation platforms, magnetic field cancellation systems, and acoustic abatement materials, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with technical specifications. * Provide technical guidance and support to customers. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: * Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify the root cause of technical issues. * Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when necessary. * Customer Support & Training: * Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, ensuring timely resolution of issues. * Deliver training to customer staff on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety. Documentation & Reporting: * Submit timely installation reports and escalate issues to management.
