Solid foundation in optical engineering principles. Demonstrated hands-on experience characterizing and testing EO/IR sensor systems. Demonstrated hands-on experience designing optical lenses, Cassegrain systems, prisms, optical filters, etc., for EO/IR imaging. Demonstrated proficiency using the ZEMAX optical design tool. Strong knowledge base and experience with VIS/NIR/SWIR/MWIR/LWIR materials. Demonstrated experience creating Design Validation Test (DVT) plans and reports. Excellent knowledge of optical design reviews, optomechanical interface models, and drawing reviews. Strong background in EO/IR image sensors and EO/IR/Laser range finder system integration. Experience leading or collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams on new product development from concept through PDR, CDR, TRR, to LRIP. Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and tracking specification compliance matrices, as well as risk identification and mitigation. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Responsibilities include device-level, subsystem-level, and full system-level optical and imaging testing, image quality analysis, and evaluation.
