The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Go modules, dependency management, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and OSS package maintenance. This role requires hands-on engineering ownership across package migration, compatibility remediation, Copybara workflows, build/test stabilization, local patch management, and upstream contribution activities., Strong software engineering experience in Go (Golang).
Deep understanding of:
o Goroutines

o Concurrency patterns
o Memory management
o Context propagation
o Error handling strategies
Experience developing and maintaining production-grade Go applications.

Go Ecosystem Knowledge
Extensive experience with:
o Go Modules
o GOPROXY
o Dependency resolution
o Semantic versioning
o Package publishing
o Open-source package maintenance
Build & CI/CD
Strong experience with:
o Bazel
o Go Build
o Go Test
o GitHub Actions
o Jenkins
o Buildkite
o GitLab CI
Ability to troubleshoot large-scale build environments.

Dependency & Migration Engineering
Experience performing:
o Package upgrades
o Framework migrations
o Dependency conflict resolution
o Version compatibility analysis
o API migration and refactoring

Source Control & Repository Management
Git expertise.
Experience with monorepos and large-scale codebases.
Familiarity with Copybara or equivalent repository synchronization tools.
Code review and branching strategy experience.

Platform & Infrastructure
Linux systems expertise.
Container technologies:
o Docker
o Kubernetes
Familiarity with cloud-native development practices.

## Description

Role: GoLang Developer Location: Edison, NJ / Frisco, TX / Hartford, CT / Bellevue, WA / San Jose CA (Day 1 Onsite) Duration: Long Term, We are seeking an experienced Go (Golang) Open-Source Software Engineer to drive the modernization and maintenance of large-scale third-party package ecosystems. The engineer will be responsible for performing version upgrades of open-source Go packages, resolving dependency conflicts, fixing code breaks introduced by package updates, and ensuring successful validation through build, test, and presubmit pipelines.
