## About the Role

6-8 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience in enterprise environments
Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations and upgrades
Proven experience with OS/DB migrations, including database transitions (e.g., BD2 * SQL Server)
Experience supporting SAP HANA as the primary database platform
Hands-on experience with cloud migrations, specifically lift-and-shift SAP workloads to Azure
Solid working knowledge of Linux (does not require admin-level expertise)
Experience working in large organizations with complex SAP implementations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with SAP transport management for S/4 systems, including GCDS
Prior experience at large-scale enterprises (e.g., Walmart-sized environments)
Exposure to multiple S/4 migration programs or multiple phase-1/phase-4 migrations
Experience supporting retail SAP landscapes
Familiarity with SAP release management and coordinated transport strategies

## Description

Support SAP S/4HANA migrations and upgrades, including:
In-place upgrades
Brownfield and Bluefield migrations
Parallel and standalone S/4 migration efforts
Lead and support S/4HANA migrations for India Retail, including system upgrades and carve-outs
Execute OS/DB migration projects, including:
Lift-and-shift of SAP systems to Microsoft Azure
PR4 migration from BD2 to SQL Server
Manage and support SAP HANA databases, ensuring performance, stability, and availability
Work across multiple SAP environments (Dev/Test/QA/Prod) in large, complex system landscapes
Perform system copy/refresh activities and support go-lives and cutovers
Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to align SAP workloads with Azure architecture
Support SAP transport management processes across S/4 systems
Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
