* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
 * 2-4 years in telecommunications, service provider, or information technology environments
 * Experience working in a tiered support environment, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 support

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

 * Understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
 * Has worked with, e.g network services. DNS, DHCP, AAA, TACACS, etc.
 * Skilled with Linux administration
 * Knowledge of virtualization, e.g. VMWare ESXi, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
 * Experience with Python or shell scripting

Desirable Skills, Experience and Talents

 * Experience with cloud service providers, including AWS and Azure
 * Has worked with Cisco VxLAN (Nexus)
 * Skilled with Ansible and/or Puppet
 * Exposure to Git workflows, principles, and best practices
 * Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, including Grafana, Prometheus, Fluent, etc.
 * Demonstrated passion for the open-source ecosystem

## Description

* Implement the features and functionality of Gogo's network & systems infrastructure
 * Collaborate with other business units to meet a common goal
 * Build solutions based on business requirements
 * Track project tasks, provide status updates, and ensure assigned work is completed on schedule
 * Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues
 * Contribute to process improvements by researching, introducing, and adopting tools that improve reliability, automation, and operational efficiency
 * Guide implementation of best practices for system design/development
 * Contribute to a healthy, collaborative team environment through clear communication, ownership, and a strong work ethic
 * Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and an on-call rotation to support the reliability and availability of critical production systems
