## About the Role

Trusted Space is seeking a Sr. Software Developer with a Bachelor's degree or higher and 10+ years' experience to join our team. Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has experience with the Java programming language, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment., * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

 * 10+ years in software engineering or related experience.
 * 5+ years of experience with Java for production level software.
 * Experience with the Java Spring Framework.
 * Experience with messaging frameworks (e.g. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
 * Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
 * Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments.
 * An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
 * Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certification, including CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date.

Desired Skills and Experience

 * Familiarity with Agile Methodology.
 * Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines (e.g. Jenkins).
 * Familiarity with database technologies (e.g. MongoDB).
 * Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite.
 * Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.
 * Knowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations.

## Description

* Supports program objectives to include software development in a collaborative agile environment.
 * Works with users to define existing or new system scope and objectives. Provides analytical support and technical advice during the conceptualization, development, and implementation phases.
 * Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
 * Able to lead small high performing team of developers across the full software development lifecycle.
