This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced computer refurbishment environment. Candidates must have practical experience refurbishing laptop computers and a strong understanding of computer hardware and software. You should be comfortable independently working through the refurbishment process from initial inspection and BIOS setup through operating system installation, driver installation, testing, and final quality control. Required Technical Skills · Must know how to refurbish laptop computers. · Clear understanding of BIOS setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting. · Knowledge of installing and configuring Windows operating systems. · Knowledge of installing and configuring macOS. · Understanding of computer drivers and proper driver installation. · Ability to identify missing or incorrect drivers and verify proper hardware functionality. · Ability to diagnose basic laptop hardware and software issues. · Ability to disassemble and reassemble laptops when necessary for repair or component replacement. · Understanding of common computer components, including RAM, SSDs/hard drives, batteries, keyboards, screens, and other laptop hardware. · Ability to conduct thorough quality-control inspections of both hardware and software before a computer is approved for sale. · Ability to verify that a completed computer is fully functional and meets quality standards. What We're Looking For · A self-starter who takes initiative and stays productive without constant supervision. · Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. · Able to work independently while also being a team player. · Detail-oriented and able to identify problems before a computer passes quality control. · Reliable, punctual, and consistent. · Able to follow established refurbishment and quality-control procedures. · Willing to assist with other warehouse and production responsibilities when needed. · Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Additional Responsibilities · Inventory organization and tracking. · Shipping and receiving. · Organizing computers and computer components. · Preparing completed computers for the next stage of fulfillment. · Maintaining a clean and organized workstation. Work Environment This is an on-site position and cannot be performed remotely. The role involves working with multiple computers throughout the day in a fast-paced refurbishment and production environment.
