You will not be considered for the position if you score below the cut score or fail to complete the assessment. ## Description The Area Manager provides leadership and resource management (finance, human, and acquisition), leading the development and implementation strategy required to manage multiple area-wide IT End User Operations., * Identifies and resolves root causes of problems that degrade delivery of essential Information Technology services. * Directs, reviews and participates in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of automated information systems and technical architectures in compliance with VA directives. * Oversees IT management concept development that impact all IT business processes, operations, and strategies. * Provides direction, leadership and mentoring to develop and foster the leadership and management skills of subordinate staff. * Plans schedules, and carries out major projects concerned with the analysis and evaluation of programs or organizational effectiveness. * Mastery of the application of a wide-range of qualitative and quantitative analytical and evaluation methods to identify and advise on IT programs to improve processes or mission performance. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Tour of duty may be subject to change based on organizational needs. Travel Required: Up to 25% travel may be required, as needed, for this position., Physical Demands: The work is sedentary.
