College/technical training in computer science is highly desirable. Are you eager to expand your technical knowledge and skills? The Mount Prospect Public Library is looking for a part-time IT Assistant to work in our IT Department. In this role, you will have extensive in-person interaction with staff and patrons as you respond to their help desk tickets and phone inquiries. While no two days are the same, you will often provide desktop support to staff, troubleshoot various software and hardware issues, and assist patrons with printing, document formatting, and basic technology navigation. SCHEDULE:16 hours per week; Monday through Thursday 5pm to 9pm, Under the direct supervision of the Computer Services Supervisor, the IT Assistant is responsible for on-call computer help desk duties for Library staff and patrons involving computer hardware, applications, and office equipment.
