## About the Role

* Strong Python programming skills
 * Working knowledge of PySpark
 * Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Kubeflow Pipelines, and Cloud Monitoring
 * Familiarity with ML workflow orchestration tools such as KFP, Airflow, or similar platforms
 * Experience monitoring and troubleshooting jobs in distributed cloud environments
 * Understanding of observability practices, including OTEL and custom metrics instrumentation
 * Experience working with GitHub workflows, including pull requests, branching, and code reviews
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail
 * Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred Skills

 * Experience balancing operational support with targeted development work
 * Background in improving production pipeline reliability and performance
 * Ability to proactively identify opportunities for process or system improvements
 * Comfort working in cross-functional environments with technical and operational partners

## Description

Join a dynamic engineering team supporting production machine learning pipelines that power inventory and workload insights for store operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a cloud-native environment, strengthen pipeline reliability, and contribute to meaningful improvements in observability, monitoring, and performance.
Responsibilities

 * Support and maintain production ML pipelines that deliver inventory and workload insights
 * Monitor daily workflows and troubleshoot issues to help ensure reliability and SLA adherence
 * Improve the stability, performance, and observability of existing pipelines
 * Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions using cloud-native tools and custom instrumentation
 * Work within a Google Cloud Platform and Vertex AI environment to support pipeline operations and improvements
 * Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and operations partners to resolve issues and implement enhancements
 * Contribute to code changes and operational improvements using GitHub workflows and team standards
