To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That's what makes us Roche! Advances in artificial intelligence (AI), data, and computational sciences are transforming drug discovery and development. Roche's Research and Early Development organizations at Genentech (gRED) and Pharma (pRED) have demonstrated how these technologies accelerate R&D, leveraging data and novel computational models to drive impact. Seamless data sharing and access to models across gRED and pRED are essential to maximizing these opportunities. The Computational Sciences Center of Excellence (CSCoE) is a strategic, unified group whose goal is to harness this transformative power of data and AI to assist our scientists in pRED and gRED to deliver more innovative medicines for patients worldwide. Within the CSCoE, the Data and Digital Catalysts (DDC) organization drives the modernization of our computational and data ecosystems and integration of digital technologies across Research and Early Development to enable our stakeholders, power data-driven science, and accelerate decision making. The Role The Enablement Lead for Container Hosting Platforms sits within our Engineering core, serving as a high-impact bridge to our scientific user community. This role is accountable for driving the effective adoption, usability, and scientific impact of our core hosting platforms. You will focus on reducing friction, accelerating onboarding, and radically improving the developer experience (DevEx) for researchers, primarily supporting CSCoE and gRED use cases in the United States. The role spans a complex technical landscape, covering multi-region (US/EU) general-purpose EKS hosting, specialized GPU and scale-out compute infrastructure, and the full breadth of AWS managed services required for modern application hosting. This includes storage, databases, event processing, workflow management, and serverless computing. You will ensure these environments are intuitive, accessible, and optimized for the unique demands of modern drug discovery. The Opportunity: * Define, communicate, and continuously improve strategies for onboarding, adoption, and effective use of diverse scientific computing platforms. * Develop and lead comprehensive strategies for the adoption of cloud-native computing platforms, ensuring technical capabilities translate into cross-domain scientific outcomes. * Assist in the resolution of highly technical challenges related to containerized workloads, GPU-accelerated computing, and scale-out infrastructures. * Proactively identify and dismantle organizational and technical barriers to platform adoption, implementing solutions to reduce developer friction and enhance usability and accessibility. * Build and nurture communities of practice to share knowledge, best practices, and innovations. * Develop and deliver training and maintain high-quality documentation, tutorials, and example workflows. * Serve as a trusted advisor to users and senior stakeholders, providing guidance on platform capabilities and best practices. * Influence product roadmaps where appropriate based on deep analysis of scientific usage patterns and direct researcher and developer feedback. ## Related Videos - [Harnessing the Power of Open Source's Newest Technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1448-harnessing-the-power-of-open-source-s-newest-technologies) - [Infrastructure as Code: The Developer's Secret Weapon](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1221-infrastructure-as-code-the-developer-s-secret-weapon) - [Kubernetes and Microservices with Multi-Model Databases](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/382-kubernetes-and-microservices-with-multi-model-databases) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Implementing Feature Environments with AWS and Terraform](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/531-implementing-feature-environments-with-aws-and-terraform) - [Running Secure Life Science Research at Scale using Hybrid GPU HPC and Kubernetes 🧬](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100355-running-secure-life-science-research-at-scale-using-hybrid-gpu-hpc-and-kubernetes) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Best US AI Conferences for CTOs in 2026: Build vs. Buy, Vendor Evaluation, and Peer Intelligence](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/736-best-us-ai-conferences-for-ctos-in-2026-build-vs-buy-vendor-evaluation-and-peer-intelligence) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Got AI ideas but no money?
