Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with technology usage reporting, IT financial operations, dashboard maintenance, customer-facing reporting, AI-enabled platforms, cloud or SaaS usage tracking, chargeback processes, or higher education technology services.
 * Experience with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow, cloud dashboards, administrative consoles, or similar reporting platforms is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

 * Knowledge of technology usage reporting, operational analytics, chargeback, showback, allocation tracking, or related IT financial operations practices.
 * Knowledge of AI-enabled platforms, enterprise software services, cloud-based tools, or credit/token/consumption-based technology models.
 * Ability to maintain dashboards, review data for accuracy, identify trends, and summarize usage information for technical and non-technical audiences.
 * Ability to create recurring reports, interpret usage data, and communicate findings clearly through written summaries, dashboards, spreadsheets, or presentations.
 * Strong customer service skills and the ability to respond professionally to questions about usage, allocations, permissions, access levels, and reporting outputs.
 * Ability to work with spreadsheets, dashboarding tools, reporting systems, and data exports.
 * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet recurring reporting deadlines.
 * Ability to identify data inconsistencies, investigate usage anomalies, and coordinate with technical or functional teams to resolve issues.
 * Ability to explain technology usage, credit consumption, and allocation concepts in plain language.
 * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle institutional usage, financial, and customer data responsibly.
 * Ability to document processes, maintain standard operating procedures, and recommend practical improvements.

## Description

Join our IT Business Operations team and help shape how the university manages and reports on enterprise technology services. As the IT Chargeback & Reporting Specialist, you'll transform technology usage data into meaningful insights that support responsible resource management, AI governance, and informed decision-making across the institution. Working with enterprise AI platforms and other centrally managed technologies, you'll develop reports, maintain dashboards, support customers, and help ensure transparency in technology consumption and allocation., Job Duty
Usage Monitoring, Dashboard Maintenance, and Data Oversight
Monitor usage of enterprise technology services, including AI-enabled platforms, credit-based services, and other centrally managed tools. Maintain and validate customer-facing dashboards to ensure usage, allocation, unit-level activity, and consumption data are accurate, timely, and understandable. Review data feeds, identify discrepancies, coordinate corrections, and support improvements to dashboard usability, structure, and reliability.

Create, maintain, and distribute recurring usage reports on a regular and consistent basis. Analyze usage data to identify trends, changes in consumption, high-activity areas, underutilized allocations, and potential anomalies. Collect, review, and organize usage and operational data from enterprise technology systems to support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs. Identify notable patterns, trends, outliers, or changes in activity and prepare clear summaries for leadership, unit representatives, and customers. Support reporting requests related to service usage, access levels, allocations, billing support, customer activity, and other operational metrics.

Provide guidance on appropriate permission groups, tiered access recommendations, and usage management practices in coordination with service owners and technical teams.

Help document methodologies for usage reporting, credit allocation, and unit-level consumption tracking. Provide data and analysis to support planning, budgeting, governance, and responsible technology use.
