This role owns the day-to-day administration, configuration, and team leadership of JED's CRM environment, and is a driving voice in shaping the strategy and roadmap that determines how that environment evolves to support our organization. This role works day to day with JED's Technical Project Manager, who owns intake, requirements, and stakeholder management for CRM-related requests; together they ensure scoped, ready-to-work deliverables move smoothly from intake into technical execution. Working across the organization and in close partnership with the CTO, this role ensures JED's CRM environment and its supporting integrations remain aligned to organizational priorities today while building the team and processes needed to scale with JED's growth., People Management & Team Leadership * Manage day-to-day workload distribution, prioritization, and coverage across a growing team of full-time and temporary Salesforce Administrators, sized to meet workload, aligning assignments with JED's standard and large-project DevOps tracks. * Conduct regular one-on-ones, set goals, and deliver performance feedback for direct reports. * Serve as the escalation point for complex configuration, deployment, or data-integrity issues raised by the team. * Partner with the CTO on hiring decisions for the Salesforce Administration team, including scaling the team's size as workload requires, and on renewal or extension decisions for temporary staff. User Training & Support * Guide the design and delivery of engaging training programs and create clear documentation to drive user adoption and proficiency across all supported platforms. * Provide timely and effective technical support to all staff, managing an internal ticketing system for platform issues. * Act as a key technology partner to all departments, proactively gathering feedback to continuously improve systems, processes, and training materials. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication * Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical concepts into understandable updates and reports. * Serve as the technical voice in cross-departmental discussions on architecture, roadmap, and platform capability, in partnership with the Technical Project Manager as the primary stakeholder point of contact. * Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with JED's standards., This role owns administration of JED's Salesforce instance and the integrations that connect to it, including Campaign Monitor, Sage Intacct, Fundraise Up, and DonorSearch. This role also owns the Salesforce Administration function's staffing model, a growing team of full-time and temporary Salesforce Administrators sized to meet workload, and is accountable for the team's output, data quality, and adherence to JED's DevOps governance. Decision Rights & Collaboration * Decides independently: day-to-day Salesforce configuration and workload prioritization within the administration team; scheduling of standard-track deployments consistent with existing Gearset governance; assignment of tickets and coverage across the team. * Requires input or approval: large-project scoping that affects cross-functional timelines, informed by requirements and scope defined through the Technical Project Manager's intake process; changes to the team's overall size or budget; serves as a key voice in any strategic evaluation of JED's CRM platform (e.g., a future platform change), with the final decision resting with the CTO, and CFAO and Chief Growth Officer. * Collaborates closely with: the Technical Project Manager, to receive scoped, ready-to-work deliverables and to align on prioritization calls that affect the broader team's workload; the Salesforce Administration team, as their direct manager and technical escalation point; department stakeholders, on architecture, roadmap, and platform capability questions surfaced through the Technical Project Manager., JED's CRM roadmap is documented, kept current, and reflects sound architectural and technical judgment, measured by roadmap document currency and the technical soundness of scoped deliverables handed off for execution. Roadmap updates are made available to the Technical Project Manager on a consistent cadence to support their stakeholder communication. Strategic Influence This role's recommendations are reflected in CRM roadmap decisions, tracked by the share of this role's proposed priorities adopted into the annual or quarterly roadmap., In-person attendance is required for periodic retreats or business meetings at JED's central office in NYC or other locations as designated by JED leadership.
