Being innovative and providing technical problem-solving within a multidisciplinary team of researchers will be a major part of your work life.Responsibilities:Develop software architecture and implement software solutions based on technical requirementsWrite software to interface with hardware and enable autonomous or semi-autonomous system behaviorsImplement an intuitive user interface that ensures reliable remote operation of underwater actuated systemsProduce reliable, maintainable, and testable codeInterpret datasheets and product specifications to compare and select control system componentsDesign and troubleshoot control circuits and support system-level integrationIntegrate and test sensors and drivers for robotic subsystemsCollaborate with multidisciplinary engineering
teams to achieve design goalsContribute to technical proposals and solution development for customer needsPresent technical progress and results to internal teams and customers, including non-technical audiencesOperate the system during at-sea tests and demonstrationsTravel as neededJob location is split between Chelmsford, MA and Londonderry, NHBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline (advanced degrees are a plus)2+ years of relevant industry experience (candidates with up to ~10 years of experience will be considered)Experience with Python programmingExperience implementing PID and feedback-based control loopsKnowledge of control systems, digital circuits, and power distributionAbility to develop software that interfaces with hardware systemsHands-on aptitude with basic mechanical and electrical assemblies for prototyping and testingComfortable using basic hand tools in a lab or
