The Technician is responsbile for responding appropriately to IT emergencies, as well as being familiar with wireless and wired router and switch equipment in order to complete daily services orders, locates, and trouble tickets. The Technician role includes pulling, installing, punching down, interconnecting, terminating, splicing, locating, and all other tasks related to installation of various types of copper and fiber optic network media, and related devices including battery power supplies, wired and wireless network, video surveillance, fire alarm network, and other equipment supported by the Enterprise Networks team. The successful candidate will ensure that all installations meet local, state, and federal codes and requirements. The position also performs duties related to circuit alterations on the Cosmic Frame. Work Schedule: University business hours (Monday through Friday, 8-5); there may be infrequent times when weekend or evening work is required. Note: this position is located on site (not remote) at the NDSU main campus in Fargo, North Dakota.
