SQL: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, querying, profiling, and backend validation. Spreadsheets: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for rapid data modeling and analysis. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex datasets and retail business partners, developing intuitive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that drive strategic decision-making across our retail operations. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for data visualization, solid SQL skills, and a genuine curiosity for understanding retail performance. You will partner closely with business leaders to translate raw data into clear, compelling visual narratives using modern BI platforms, helping the team monitor key metrics and spot operational opportunities. Key Responsibilities Dashboard Development, Data Preparation & Retail Analysis Data Visualization & Reporting: Develop visually compelling, user-friendly, and high-performance dashboards. Our preferred BI platforms are MicroStrategy or Looker, though proficiency in Power BI or Tableau is highly valued. UI/UX & Report Design: Apply clean visualization and design principles to ensure reporting layouts are intuitive, clear, and optimized for fast business decision-making. Data Processing & SQL Queries: Write efficient SQL queries to profile, extract, filter, and structure raw data from cloud databases for seamless dashboard integration. Quality Assurance & Credibility: Embed rigorous quality check standards into development workflows, ensuring high data accuracy and building total user trust in business reporting. Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and resolve basic performance issues in dashboards to guarantee a seamless, fast, and reliable end user experience. Reporting Efficiencies: Maintain and optimize scheduled reporting cadences. Help streamline delivery processes using built-in BI tool scheduling or spreadsheet-based functions. Legacy Report Optimization: Work to modernize legacy Excel spreadsheets or manual reporting processes, transitioning them into more sustainable, automated, or interactive dashboard solutions. Ad-Hoc Analysis & Leadership Support:Support senior leadership and business stakeholders by conducting objective, data-driven analyses to answer key business questions. Assist in responding to high-priority inquiries by compiling accurate findings into clear, well-structured briefs and summary reports. Insight Presentation: Translate data findings into clear, digestible summaries. Present trends and dashboard configurations to cross-functional stakeholders across the business.
