Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. ## Description We are seeking a highly motivated, technically strong, hands-on Full Stack Developer to join our App Dev & Infrastructure team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, takes ownership of their work, and can independently drive projects from design through implementation. The Full Stack Developer requires close collaboration with technical team members, project stakeholders, and City agencies. Responsibilities will include: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs using modern web technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. - Build responsive, intuitive, and accessible user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. - Participate in architecture discussions and recommend technical improvements and best practices. - Perform code reviews and contribute to maintaining high coding standards. - Develop automated tests and ensure application reliability, maintainability, and performance. - Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues across the full technology stack. - Maintain technical documentation, source code repositories, and deployment procedures. - Work closely with the City's Cyber Command to ensure applications meet security accreditation requirements. - Support existing applications while contributing to new development initiatives. - Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency. - Perform other duties and special technology initiatives as assigned., Hours/Shift: Day - Due to the necessary duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings, The successful candidate will be more than just a developer they will be a proactive problem solver, capable of analyzing requirements, proposing technical solutions, and delivering high-quality software with minimal supervision. The successful candidate should demonstrate: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise across both front-end and back-end technologies. - Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, debugging, and supporting production applications. - Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, authentication, web security principles, and modern application architecture. - Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js and proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. - Experience with SQL and databases. - Experience with Git and modern software development workflows. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. - Knowledge of JSON, XML, XSD, WSDL, JDBC, MQ, and SOAP concepts. - Experience working within Agile software development methodologies.
