Preferred Qualifications * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL. * Experience with cloud-native data platforms and architectures. * Experience with enterprise data migration projects. * Experience with AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud data services. * Experience with NoSQL and vector database technologies. * Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, RAG, and AI-enabled data solutions. * Experience supporting analytics, reporting, and modern data warehouse environments. ## Description The Data Engineer / Data Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise data solutions across multiple database platforms and business systems. This role focuses on data architecture, data modeling, data integration, migration, governance, data quality management, and cloud-based data solutions while supporting modern analytics and emerging AI initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong database expertise with cloud, integration, and enterprise data management experience., Data Architecture & Data Management * Design and maintain enterprise data architectures, logical and physical data models, and database solutions. * Develop scalable data solutions supporting business applications and reporting needs. * Define data standards, governance practices, and data lifecycle management processes. * Translate business and technical requirements into effective data architectures. Database Development & Administration * Design, develop, administer, and optimize databases using MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure SQL, and similar platforms. * Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects. * Perform schema design, indexing, database tuning, and performance optimization. * Ensure database integrity, security, availability, and reliability. Data Quality & Governance * Develop and implement data quality frameworks and controls. * Perform data profiling, validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and integrity analysis. * Establish data quality standards, monitoring processes, and scorecards. * Support data governance initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements. Data Integration & Migration * Design and support ETL/ELT processes, data migration solutions, and enterprise integrations. * Develop data exchange solutions utilizing APIs, middleware, and web services. * Support integration between Oracle, MySQL, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications. * Ensure successful execution of data conversion and migration initiatives. Cloud & Modern Data Platforms * Support cloud-based data architectures and services across: + Microsoft Azure + AWS + Oracle Cloud * Design and support cloud databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and modern analytics platforms. * Recommend best practices for cloud data management and optimization. Security & Compliance * Implement database security controls, access management, and governance standards. * Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity best practices. * Protect enterprise data through proper controls and monitoring processes.
