* CompTIA A+ or a Microsoft Certified IT Professional qualification
 * Proven hands-on work with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
 * Proven work with Active Directory objects, user accounts and permissions
 * Three years in a communications and information systems environment
 * Three years supporting users, desktop hardware and desktop software
 * Three years in an IT administration role
 * A solid grasp of how personal computers are built and rolled out
 * Current operating systems and office automation software

## Description

* Installing, maintaining and operating the full spread of workstations, printers and network devices behind the site's office automation services
 * Setting up commercial software on networked and standalone machines, and the network client software on the local-network workstations
 * Configuring local server software and the more awkward peripherals
 * Creating and maintaining user access, and troubleshooting it for both fixed desks and mobile devices
 * Working with organisational units in Active Directory and with group policy
 * Handling support requests, work orders and whatever else the queue brings
 * Packaging software so it deploys automatically rather than one machine at a time
 * Contributing to security compliance and remediation work
 * Feeding incident, change, configuration and asset management through the service-management toolkit
