* Expert-level Microsoft SQL Server administration, development, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
 * Strong HA/DR experience with:
 * SQL Server Always On Availability Groups
 * Failover Clustering
 * Replication
 * Backup & Recovery
 * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and/or Azure VMs.
 * Administration experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB.
 * Experience with MongoDB / NoSQL databases.
 * Strong scripting/automation skills using PowerShell, T-SQL and/or Python.
 * Knowledge of database design, normalization, indexing, query optimization and capacity planning.
 * Experience with IaC, CI/CD and database deployment automation.
 * Experience with containerized and virtualized environments.
 * Strong database monitoring, observability and performance management experience.
 * Knowledge of database security, access control, encryption, auditing and vulnerability management.
 * Proven experience leading complex database troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
