What You`ll Be Doing: * Architecture and technical strategy. Define and guide the evolution of our product and platform architecture, including modularity, service boundaries, data flows, integrations and production readiness. Identify structural bottlenecks and reliability risks before they constrain delivery. Own build-versus-buy calls. * Cross-team initiatives. Lead complex, ambiguous initiatives from discovery to adoption. Create clarity, align stakeholders, set direction and trade-offs. Contribute directly to critical codebases and reference implementations when it creates leverage. * Engineering standards and operational quality. Establish standards and patterns that teams actually adopt. With Platform Engineering, define operational quality at scale: observability, SLOs, alerting, incident practice, production-readiness criteria. * AI-assisted engineering. Set how AI is used here: quality criteria, validation, security, traceability, cost. Identify where it creates real leverage and where it adds complexity and measure its impact on throughput and quality. * Mentoring and influence. Grow senior engineers and Tech Leads through design reviews, RFCs and hands-on collaboration. Influence through credibility, not authority. * Product partnership. Work with Product and leadership so that architectural investment, technical debt and reliability work are understood in terms of customer impact and delivery capacity. ## Related Videos - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Debugging in the Dark](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1658-debugging-in-the-dark) - [Innovating Developer Tools with AI: Insights from GitHub Next](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1268-innovating-developer-tools-with-ai-insights-from-github-next) - [Reducing LLM Calls with Vector Search Patterns - Raphael De Lio (Redis)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1714-reducing-llm-calls-with-vector-search-patterns-raphael-de-lio-redis) - [Accelerating Authentication Architecture: Taking Passwordless to the Next Level](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/733-accelerating-authentication-architecture-taking-passwordless-to-the-next-level) - [Developer Experience in the Age of AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1118-developer-experience-in-the-age-of-ai) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [The Best X (Twitter) Accounts for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/294-the-best-x-twitter-accounts-for-developers) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated)
