We equip these teams with the necessary skills to devise solutions that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible. While the product designer ensures usability and engineers ensure feasibility, the product manager is accountable for value and viability. This requires understanding business constraints across compliance, legal, sales, finance, and privacy, as well as maintaining a deep understanding of users, partners, market dynamics, and competitive disadvantages. At Mercuryo, a product lead acts as a mini-CEO. The day-to-day focus is setting a clear product strategy and direction, and continuously aligning the team around it. Product managers are expected to be strong communicators and rational decision-makers, explicitly assessing value, impact, and trade-offs when prioritising initiatives across teams. Our, We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (API) to own and shape the developer experience around Mercuryo's full on-ramp infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of product, developer platform, payments, and infrastructure. You will define developer-facing API products and create seamless integration experiences for partners building on top of Mercuryo. You'll work closely with engineering, design, integrations, commercial, and support teams to make our APIs intuitive, scalable, and easy to integrate - whether for enterprise clients, wallets, exchanges, or AI-powered developer workflows. This role is highly cross-functional and requires both strong product thinking and deep comfort working with technical products, APIs, SDKs, and developer documentation. Your Role * Own the strategy and roadmap for Mercuryo's developer-facing API products and on-ramp platform. * Define developer-friendly API experiences and specifications; ensure clear, AI-ready integration documentation. * Improve developer onboarding and integration journeys to reduce time-to-first-success. * Partner with clients to surface integration pain points and continuously improve DX (developer experience). * Drive tooling and quality across APIs, SDKs, documentation structure, error handling, and sandbox/testing flows. * Prioritise by balancing technical feasibility, business value, compliance, and usability trade-offs. * Define and track success metrics: API adoption, activation, integration speed, and developer satisfaction. ## Related Videos - [Are Your APIs Ready for AI Agents](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2004-are-your-apis-ready-for-ai-agents) - [How to Monetize Your APIs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/749-how-to-monetize-your-apis) - [Using code generation for test automation – the fancy way](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/230-using-code-generation-for-test-automation-the-fancy-way) - [For the REST of us: API First and Conway’s Law](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1932-for-the-rest-of-us-api-first-and-conway-s-law) - [API Platform: From Rest & GraphQL APIs to state-of-the-art standards in seconds](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1968-api-platform-from-rest-graphql-apis-to-state-of-the-art-standards-in-seconds) - [Contract-First Frontend: Scaling Reliable UIs with OpenAPI and AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1995-contract-first-frontend-scaling-reliable-uis-with-openapi-and-ai) ## Related Articles - [Spanish Business Culture and Etiquette](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/353-spanish-business-culture-and-etiquette) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [E-Commerce in the Agentic Age: When "Buy" Becomes a Function Call](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/750-e-commerce-in-the-agentic-age-when-buy-becomes-a-function-call) - [The Biggest German Tech Companies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/424-the-biggest-german-tech-companies) - [What is product discovery and why do developers need it?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/517-what-is-product-discovery-and-why-do-developers-need-it) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs)
