To kick-start a true revolution within the accountancy sector! Help us introduce groundbreaking features that redefine industry standards! join the ride As Tech Lead, you take full ownership of your squad's technical delivery and architecture - whether that's driving commercial growth features or building the internal platform that powers our engineering organization. You stay hands-on, using your deep .NET and Vue.js expertise to ship high-quality code. Together with your Trio (Product Owner, Designer, and Tech Lead) and fellow Tech Leads, you shape our technical roadmap. And you don't just deliver what's next: you look for ways to keep pushing our stack forward. Time to grow. Time to thrive. We are Nmbrs. We build smart business software that removes unnecessary complexity for SMEs and the professionals who support them. Nmbrs brings together four established product organisations - Payroll, Accounting, Invoicing and Reporting - with teams across the Netherlands, Sweden and Portugal. We are one brand with a shared ambition, while continuing to work from the expertise and strengths of our individual organisations. We join forces where it makes sense, while keeping teams, expertise and decision-making close together. For this role, you'll join Nmbrs Accounting in Rotterdam, working closely with the colleagues in your local team while being part of the wider Nmbrs organisation. Your role We are currently hiring two Tech Leads for two distinct, high-impact teams within our development organization: Team Growth and Team Platform. As Tech Lead, you focus entirely on code quality , architectural integrity , and the successful delivery of your squad's roadmap - staying hands-on by developing within your scrum squad while acting as the technical bridge between product and execution. All people-management responsibilities (career growth, 1-on-1s) are handled by our Software Development Managers, so this role stays fully dedicated to engineering. Team Growth This team focuses on building features that directly drive our commercial growth - think cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the platform. As Tech Lead here, you help us move fast, experiment with new revenue-driving features, and turn commercial insights into scalable technical solutions. Team Platform This team focuses entirely on the system-technical foundation of the Nmbrs Accounting product- the internal tools, infrastructure, and integrations with other Visma solutions that support our whole engineering department. As Tech Lead here, you keep the tools and infrastructure our developers depend on robust, reliable, and scalable. (During the intake conversation, we'll walk you through both team dynamics in detail, so together we can figure out which challenge fits your expertise best.)) In practice, you will: + Technical authority in the Trio: Act as the technical authority within the Product Owner / Designer / Tech Lead trio, ensuring the roadmap is technically feasible and optimized for long-term scalability - and own your team's delivery, setting priorities and managing the technical roadmap so milestones are met. + Architecture & strategy: Oversee the technical direction of your squad, spot opportunities to improve our solutions, and lead initiatives that push our stack (both .NET and Vue.js) forward. + Hands-on development: Lead by example - stay actively involved in the codebase, ship high-performing features, and solve complex technical challenges alongside your team. + Quality & mentorship: Safeguard our engineering standards through code reviews, and mentor other developers to sharpen their technical skills and adopt best practices (without owning their formal HR or growth cycles). + Cross-functional alignment: Collaborate directly with other Tech Leads, our CTO, and Software Development Managers to align your team's goals with the broader organizational architecture. Your impact Your work determines how fast and reliably your team's part of the platform evolves - whether that's a new upsell feature going live for Team Growth, or Team Platform's internal tooling keeping every other engineering team unblocked. When you get the architecture right, your squad ships with confidence instead of constantly firefighting technical debt. You're also shaping how technical leadership works across Nmbrs: as one of several Tech Leads working closely with the CTO and Software Development Managers, your decisions ripple into how the whole engineering organization approaches architecture and delivery.
