Further information is available at: https://iuk-ktp.org.uk/ THE PROJECT The University of Essex, in partnership with Swann Engineering Group Ltd, offers an exciting opportunity to a graduate with a passion for system integration and optimisation. We are looking for an individual to review, redesign, optimise and implement a new system of integrated software packages for the company. The ideal candidate will have the relevant skills and knowledge to implement novel methods and approaches for process mapping, system integration, and optimisation, change management, and new-to-company knowledge within the factory environment. This post is fixed term for 18 months and is based at Swann Engineering Group's offices in Braintree. DUTIES OF THE POST The duties of the post will include: * Management of the project; taking leadership in achieving the project objectives. * Review the company's data management system to define a robust structure of the system integration. * Undertake the interpretation, evaluation, and criticism of existing literature, relevant to the project. * Identify risks in the change process, and manage these risks, through appropriate mitigation strategies. * Design an optimised integrated system/solution ecosystem with effective data governance and improved performance. It is expected that this will be delivered by streamlining and refining the existing MRPII system. * Identify and plan integration of company systems which are not part of the MRPII system (e.g. finance / operations) * Oversee the phased implementation, pilot testing, and company-wide rollout of any new integrated system. * Engage with internal and external stakeholders at different levels where needed. * Design, and develop training programmes to company employees, as required for the project. * Monitor and evaluate the system (post implementation) to ensure the new ways of working are fully embedded into the company DNA. * Compliance with university and company policies and regulations within the remit of the role. * Contribute to academic and industry dissemination through reports, conferences, and publications. * Engage in personal and professional development through the project activities.
