This Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Software Engineer position is with the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Mission Systems and Software Comms team supporting an ADP program that includes staff distributed between Fort Worth, Texas and Palmdale, California. The selected candidate will be a member within our GNC team, with focus on Navigation and Timing. The job requires use of a wide range of Aeronautical Engineering and Electrical Engineering principles from basic aircraft design, stability/control, guidance, multi-sensor navigation, sensor fusion, estimation, system identification, optimal filtering using EKF/UKFs, etc. to develop algorithms from the fundamentals, generate software from models, integrate, and test hardware/software solutions. Expertise with Matlab/Simulink is required, and embedded software development skills are desired. The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The candidate will have demonstrated effective communication skills as the position will require inter-organizational and outside customer interactions.
