This full time role supports our program at the Office of Naval Research in Arlington, VA. This is a position that is 100% onsite (5 days/week at the ONR in Arlington). This position requires a Secret clearance to be able to start work. US or Naturalized Citizenship are a requirement for eligibility. Strategic Leadership & Modernization: * Serve as principal technical advisor to program leadership and government stakeholders, presenting transformation strategies, trade-offs, and investment recommendations. * Evaluate emerging DoD, Navy, and commercial technologies for security, scalability, feasibility, and operational impact within the ONR environment. Architecture & DoDAF Governance: * Author and maintain DoDAF-compliant artifacts (OV/SV), network diagrams, workflows, and current/future-state architecture models under strict configuration control. * Analyze cross-domain dependencies across business processes, applications, data, systems, and network infrastructure. * Infrastructure & Systems Engineering * Provide architectural guidance across cloud environments, virtualization, Microsoft/database technologies, enterprise networking, and ONR's Network/Security Operations Center (NSOC). * Lead technical design for system migrations, infrastructure consolidations, tech refreshes, and complex enterprise troubleshooting. AWS Cloud & Systems Engineering: * Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures tailored to DoD environments and mission objectives. * Lead application migration, modernization, and integration within AWS, enterprise networks, virtualization platforms, and ONR's Network/Security Operations Center (NSOC). * Provide technical design for system consolidations, tech refreshes, and complex enterprise troubleshooting.
