This position requires a technical expert with a proven background in operating system (OS), Cisco devices (Router, Firewall, Switch), Commercial Automation Software (CAS), and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product lifecycles. The ideal candidate will be experienced in secure communications, large-scale infrastructure planning, and Department of Defense (DoD) environments and Air Force integration lab environments., * Proven experience in a network administrator roles * Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting skills on SD WAN, LAN segmentation, Cisco Switches, Cisco Wireless Access Points, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Cisco Routers, and Riverbed Bandwidth Optimizers * Maintain design of LAN/WAN including protocols and routing * Proven hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching * Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco IOS) * Sharp troubleshooting skills * Ability to work independently * Deep understanding of Networking protocols ( IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF) * Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP Model * Hands-on experience with Monitoring network diagnostic and network analytics tools * Excellent Written and Verbal Communication * Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and best practices, * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. * 10+ years of relevant experience in network engineering and large system architecture. * Active TS/SCI clearance * In-depth understanding of: + Operating Systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server) + CAS tools and integration + COTS product evaluation, implementation, and lifecycle management + ServiceNow * DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification, such as: + Security+ CE + CCNA, CCNA-Security Preferred Qualifications * CCNP * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Familiarity with virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and software-defined networking (SDN). * Experience working with government agencies or in classified environments. ## Description * Configure and Install various network devices and services ( Routers, Switches, IP addresses, VLANs, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN, QOS), * Monitoring all active network equipment, ensuring seamless operations, system availability, and reliability * Responsibilities for a Network Engineer include but are not limited to: configuration and management of Cisco switches and routers, firewalls, and support to system administration team in deployment at new sites * Design, build, test, and troubleshoot a complex network * Troubleshooting and resolving network issues, implementing security measures, and proactively optimizing network performance * Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches hot fixes, and security configurations * Configure and Install various network devices and services ( Routers, Switches, IP addresses, VLANs, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN, QOS) * Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning * Engineer Level support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.( This includes diagnosing network problems, analyzing network logs, and implementing solutions and resolve network issues) * Work within established configuration and change Management policies * Assist in network design and implementation * Troubleshoot issues with Network Deployment * Identify potential failures and recommend solutions * Liaise with Vendors and other IT personnel for Problem resolution * Update knowledge base with known errors ## Related Videos -
