## About the Role

* Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
 * Knowledge of mainframe application development and maintenance.
 * Understanding of healthcare claims processing is preferred.
 * Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
 * Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
 * Experience developing and executing unit, integration, and regression testing.
 * Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Experience:

 * 5+ years of experience working with mainframe applications.
 * Experience developing and maintaining COBOL-based applications.
 * Experience with JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
 * Healthcare claims processing experience is preferred.
 * Experience supporting complex enterprise applications and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Education:

 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

## Description

* Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications and mainframe program logic.
 * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications supporting healthcare claims processing.
 * Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
 * Support CA-MMIS mainframe applications and related healthcare claims processing functions.
 * Perform unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
 * Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
 * Collaborate with business analysts, technical teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
 * Participate in application maintenance, enhancements, and production support activities.
 * Create and maintain technical documentation related to application functionality and program changes.
