Demonstrated ability to debug complex technical issues of electronic control units and/or electrical systems. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced knowledge (5+ years) in Electrical Design of Electronic Control Units for Propulsion, Infotainment, ADAS or Body applications. We are seeking high-potential candidates to join our Central Computing team responsible for in-house hardware design of the latest in Electronic Controller technology: such as High-Performance Computers (HPCs), Zone Controllers (ZCUs) and Propulsion Supervisors. The position is for a Hardware Architect role supporting one of the many in-house hardware design projects. Main Responsibilities: Develop both physical and functional electrical architecture from concept through production. Develop electrical block diagrams describing major components and interfaces. Create functional diagrams that specify and describe functional interfaces, timing, and other dynamic aspects of the hardware. Support technical simulations (e.g. thermal simulation) and technical analysis methods (e.g. DFMEA). Defining acceptance criteria, operating parameters, configurations, use cases, and requirements. Develop solutions for any discovered weaknesses in the design. Ownership of architectural decisions and the resulting design documentation. Close collaboration with Vehicle Planning, System Engineering and Software Engineering to ensure the Hardware Architecture fulfills all stakeholder needs now and into the future.
