Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # UI / UX Designer - **Company:** World Food Programme - **Location:** Berlin, Germany (Remote available) - **Experience:** Experienced - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Adobe InDesign, Design of User Interfaces, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Prototyping, Responsive Web Design, Website Wireframe, Modern Ui, Pixel Perfect, Figma, Workday - **Published:** September 2, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.adzuna.de/details/5861231587 ## About the Role * University degree in Marketing, Advertisement, Media, Communications Science or other relevant field Work history: * 2-3 years of progressive experience working in Design Technical expertise: * Visual awareness and knowledge of latest tendencies in modern design * Technical awareness * Experience and extensive knowledge of prototyping tools such as Figma (or * Sketch, AdobeXD) * Basic knowledge of typography and basics of composition * Meticulous attention to detail, ability to create pixel-perfect designs * Basic knowledge of motion design and experience with responsive design is a plus Soft Skills: * Ability to interact with managers with maturity and tact * Mature judgment with strong interpersonal skills * Collaborative spirit able to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures and to act with credibility and diplomacy * Strong time management skills with an ability to plan ahead, anticipate requirements, problems and obstacles, and an ability to juggle competing priorities successfully, and to work to tight deadlines * Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy * Fully committed and motivated to achieve the aims of the World Food Programme Language(s): * Excellent command of spoken and written English * Intermediate knowledge of another official UN language would be a plus (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish). ## Description The Consultant, reporting to the Lead UX/UI Designer of the ShareTheMeal initiative, is expected to: * Support the designing of appealing user interface and work improvements in user experience of ShareTheMeal, working closely with the Lead UX/UI Designer * Work with requirements * Collect references to the best practices, implement required UX and UI changes by creating * process flows, wireframes and prototypes * Create development-ready mockups, including edge cases and empty states * Participate in user research, working closely with other team members in the product, content and * marketing teams * Gather and validate business and end-user requirements * Design user journeys based on the needs and the limitations of the users and of the context of use * Participate in work stream discussions/meetings as required * Support and contribute to the design system * Develop wireframes, designs, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, animations and mock-ups of * new/optimized features * Prepare and iterate visual assets and pixel-perfect layout specifications for the native mobile apps and web, * working hand in hand with our developers and QA * Provide Quality Assurance on the correct implementation of interface designs and behaviours * Support and contribute to the design system * Support other activities within the ShareTheMeal initiative as required DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT Improvements to UI and UX of the ShareTheMeal mobile apps and website, handover of the documentation and assets., * We strongly recommend that your Workday profile is accurate and complete, and that all sections are filled in, including your employment history, academic qualifications, language skills, and UN grade (if applicable).
