The role requires the ability to perform the essential functions in fast-paced work environments and to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50-80 days per year. * Customer Application and Program Coordination Provide on-site application engineering support for motorsport products, including engine controllers, vehicle control units, displays, power distribution units, and telemetry modules, at customer facilities and race tracks. Gather and document technical requirements, support project schedule development, and coordinate customer-facing track activities with internal development teams. * Customer and Team Technical Support Serve as a technical point of contact at track locations for supported race teams. Diagnose and resolve system-level issues within the scope of the role and coordinate with customers and internal teams regarding approved parameter changes. * Controls and Hybrid Strategy Development Develop and document control strategies for internal-combustion-engine and hybrid powertrains, including hybrid energy recovery systems, torque coordination, and related control algorithms. * Vehicle Electrical Architecture Develop and validate vehicle electrical and communication network topologies, including analog signals, digital signals, CAN, and Ethernet configurations, in accordance with defined technical requirements. * Simulation and Virtual Development Develop, maintain, and execute virtual simulation environments using Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and Driver-in-the-Loop methods to validate controls and support trackside system setup. * Software Tools and Standards Develop and maintain internal software tools and scripts using MATLAB, Python, C#, or comparable technologies.
