## About the Role

* 1-2 years of Accounting or Accounts Receivable experience

## Description

Kforce has a client in Nashville, TN that is seeking a Cash Application Analyst to support cash application, reconciliation, and reporting activities for news stations This role is responsible for accurately applying customer payments, resolving unapplied cash, processing credit/debit memos, and supporting the daily and month-end close process. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and experience working with checks, wire transfers, and payment remittances. Key Responsibilities:

 * Apply cash payments (wires, checks, credit cards) to customer accounts for CBS TV Stations
 * Create credit/debit memos to adjust AR for chargebacks, refunds, and misapplied cash
 * Partner with the Collections team to apply cash to the correct invoices
 * Prepare daily cash received reports and balance daily cash receipt accounts, including G/L journal entries
 * Work with Treasury to identify and resolve unknown wire transfers
 * Ensure unapplied payments are researched and resolved timely
 * Process manual credit card transactions, wires, and over-the-counter deposits
 * Post sundry receivables from the miscellaneous lockbox
 * Support month-end close activities and respond to station inquiries and backup requests
 * Assist with internal/external audits and special AR projects as needed
