The ideal candidate must also demonstrate patience and professionalism while communicating with students, staff, and interdisciplinary teams with varying levels of technical knowledge., * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience preferred * Demonstrated ability to provide technical expertise and end-user support for Macintosh computers, Windows PCs, and mobile devices including iPads and Chromebooks * Working knowledge of macOS, iOS, Windows, Chrome OS, and Google Workspace applications * Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving a wide range of technology-related issues * Ability to physically move and set up technology equipment within school buildings * Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills * Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt in a fast-paced environment, and make sound decisions during emergency situations * Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong customer service focus * Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Physical Working Conditions The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Vision and hearing at or correctable to normal ranges. ## Description The District Technology Support Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support for students and staff throughout the district. This position is assigned to support CPS technology needs and are the primary responsibility of the specialist. Canton Public Schools maintains a 1:1 Chromebook program grades 5-12. A primary responsibility of this role is the management, tracking, and coordination of Chromebook repairs.
