**Published:** September 2, 2026 - **Apply:** https://ehealthinsurance.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/EHI/job/USA-Remote/Senior-Software-Engineer-in-Test--SDET-_R4373 ## About the Role * Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. * 5+ years of experience as either a Software Development Engineer or (SDET) Software Development Engineer in Test role * Strong proficiency in software development using programming languages such as Javascript, Java, Python, C#, or similar. * SQL/DB, proficiency in writing basic SQL queries using joins and aggregate functions * Experience designing and developing automated test frameworks and test suites using tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar. * Experience in CI/CD processes. * Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. * Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment. * Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. ## Description * Tests complex API, and web-based applications that reference database back-end systems. * Reproduces, debugs, and isolates problems and verifies fixes. * Works closely with software developers to create software artifacts including test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports. * Design, create, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability. * Design and implement automated testing processes and tools for software products. * Collaborate with software engineers to ensure testability and maintainability of code throughout the software development lifecycle. * Collaborate with the engineering teams to drive testing requirements throughout the development cycle. * Identify and prioritize test cases for automation based on risk, complexity, and frequency of use. * Execute automated tests and analyze test results to identify defects, performance bottlenecks, and areas for optimization. * Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning meetings to provide input on testability, quality, and performance considerations. * Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, investigate root causes, and drive resolution of defects. * Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes. * Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing, test automation, and quality assurance methodologies. ## Related Videos -
