As a back-end developer, you'll play a crucial role in building the foundation of our applications, ensuring robustness, security, and optimal performance. You will have experience designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power dynamic, high-performance web applications. This position reports to the Software Development Manager. The work locations are our regional HQ in Antwerp and our site in Herentals (Antwerp area, Belgium), depending on the business needs, with a hybrid work scheme in place., * Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs that interface with front-end systems and third-party services. * Work with databases to store and retrieve application data. This includes designing and managing SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL). * Implement server-side logic and architecture to power web applications, ensuring high performance and scalability. * Integrate 3rd party services, APIs, and external data sources with the backend architecture. * Optimize the backend code for maximum speed and scalability.
