This position is not eligible for Overtime pay. * Must have valid driver's license. * Generally requires low physical demands. ## Description We are seeking a Web Developer proficient in word press to host our own websites. This opportunity is for an experienced Web Developer to take ownership of a growing portfolio of company websites while helping shape CGT's future digital and application development capabilities. This individual will be responsible for the development, management, hosting, security, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of all company websites. They will have strong expertise in WordPress, front-end and back-end development, server environments, website security, integrations, SEO, and web accessibility, including AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) requirements. Website Development & Management * Take ownership of the development and technical management of multiple company websites. * Build and maintain responsive websites and web features from concept through development, testing, launch, and ongoing support. * Develop and manage WordPress websites, themes, plugins, custom blocks, and Divi-based websites. * Troubleshoot and resolve website functionality, performance, compatibility, and technical issues. * Manage WordPress updates, upgrades, backups, migrations, deployments, permissions, and configurations. * Work closely with the Marketing/Creative team to translate designs and creative concepts into functional websites. * Manage website updates, migrations, deployments, and ongoing improvements. * Maintain staging environments and support safe deployment workflows. * Monitor website uptime, forms, and third-party integrations. * Implement responsive front-end updates and page enhancements. * Optimize website caching, CDN configuration, and overall performance. Hosting, Security & Infrastructure * Work with IT to support website hosting, domains, DNS, SSL, databases, backups, and server environments. * Assist with website migrations, hosting changes, and deployments. * Maintain website security and address WordPress, plugin, and other web vulnerabilities. Integrations & Development * Develop and maintain integrations with APIs, CRM/ERP systems, forms, marketing platforms, and other third-party services. * Develop custom functionality and automation when required. * Support the development of future web applications and digital tools.
