* Extensive experience in Kotlin and the JVM.
 * Strong experience in Java and the full development lifecycle delivering user-centred digital solutions.
 * Exposure to Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, or Nunjucks.
 * Proven track record of delivering high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions.
 * Expertise in building back-end services using Spring Boot and the wider Spring Framework.
 * Experience in microservices design and architecture, including RESTful API services.
 * Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and DevOps practices including containerisation with Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
 * Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
 * Previous experience working on government or NHS projects, or in a consultancy environment, is desirable.
 * Knowledge of Kafka or other asynchronous messaging systems is desirable.
 * Knowledge of Helm is desirable.

## Description

* Lead the production of user-centred software, ensuring development follows business requirements and best practice.
 * Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to explore, design, and deliver solutions to complex client problems.
 * Take ownership of software development and deployment pipelines, resolving issues and potential bottlenecks.
 * Communicate and present prototypes, solutions, and progress to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
 * Mentor and coach other engineers to support their professional development.
 * Deliver Kotlin development services to our clients as a Senior Consultant.
 * Lead by example and ensure technical excellence within squads and the engineering community.
