Canvas, collaboration, and real-time systems * Work on the architecture behind n8n's canvas-based workflow building experience. * Build and improve real-time collaboration capabilities using approaches such as WebSockets, CRDTs, or multiplayer synchronization patterns. * Design frontend systems with correctness, accessibility, and user experience in mind, especially for complex interactive workflows. Performance and rendering foundations * Improve rendering performance, runtime behavior, and responsiveness across complex workflow-building experiences. * Use performance measurement, profiling, and optimization techniques to identify bottlenecks and improve user experience. * Contribute to web worker orchestration and other frontend infrastructure that helps n8n scale to more complex use cases. Technical contribution and collaboration * Drive technical decisions through clear proposals, RFCs, and collaborative engineering discussions. * Partner closely with product engineers, QA, DX, Security, Staff Architects, and the open-source community to ensure platform changes integrate smoothly. * Support peers through code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and knowledge sharing., + US: Company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, plus life insurance to support you and your loved ones. * Career growth - We hire rising stars who grow with us! You'll get €1K (or equivalent) per year to spend on courses, books, events, or coaching to level up your skills. * A passionate team - We love our product, and we prove it with regular hackathons where we see who can build the coolest thing with it! * Remote-first - Our team works remotely across Europe, with regular off-sites for team bonding. Some roles, like sales in the US, are hybrid-please check the job description. * Giving back - We're big fans of open source, and you'll get $100 per month to support projects you care about. * Transparency - We all know what everyone's working on, how the company is doing-the whole shebang. ## Related Videos - [Lessons learned from building a thriving Vue.js SaaS application](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1666-lessons-learned-from-building-a-thriving-vue-js-saas-application) - [Profiling Symfony & PHP apps with Blackfire](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/265-profiling-symfony-php-apps-with-blackfire) - [Transforming Education: A Journey from interactive Markdown to Remote-Labs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/941-transforming-education-a-journey-from-interactive-markdown-to-remote-labs) - [But, you're not Facebook](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/378-but-you-re-not-facebook) - [Enhancing Workload Security in Kubernetes](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/356-enhancing-workload-security-in-kubernetes) - [Microfrontends at Scale](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/236-microfrontends-at-scale) ## Related Articles - [The Best 7 Frontend Frameworks for Developers in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/400-the-best-7-frontend-frameworks-for-developers-in-2025) - [Frontend Developer Salary in Germany [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/195-frontend-developer-salary-in-germany-2023) - [What’s the Difference Between Frontend and Backend Development?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/240-what-s-the-difference-between-frontend-and-backend-development) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [25 Essential Tools for Front End Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/210-25-essential-tools-for-front-end-developers) - [7 Most Popular Web Developer Jobs in Europe](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/163-7-most-popular-web-developer-jobs-in-europe)
