See Additional Information section below for details. * Must be a college or university student in good academic standing enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, information systems, business analytics, or a related field. * Experience developing AI-enabled applications or using large language model APIs. * Experience with programming or software development. * Demonstrated experience with SharePoint site design, Power Automate, Power BI dashboard development, or Microsoft Graph * Experience documenting technical processes and training nontechnical users. * Experience in event operations, protocol, communications, or business-process improvement for a national laboratory. * Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. * Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills., None required. However, this position involves U.S. Export Control; this work must be performed by a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. national, or U.S. protected individual (e.g., refugee, asylee)). ## Description The Office of Laboratory Protocol and Special Events is seeking an undergraduate student to use artificial intelligence and other digital solutions to design, develop and create tools to automate and streamline Laboratory visits and tour support. This position offers a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. During the academic year, the intern will work remotely part time, up to 20 hours per week. The intern will work full time during the summer and participate in onsite work and meetings during academic breaks, as needed.
