## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Design preferred
 * Minimum 5 years' experience in design industry
 * Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
 * Proficiency in Adobe CS (required), MS Office suite and ability to hand-sketch. Able to quickly adapt to new technology and systems
 * Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
 * Strong understanding of industry and trends within your assigned categories.

## Description

NOTE: This position is located at Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model, with four days in the office and one remote workday each week.

As a Designer at Nordstrom, you will own the seasonal brand design, and you'll create products that exceed our customer expectations - making them feel good and look their best!

A day in the life...

 * Supports design leadership in building Seasonal Brand Design Direction for their area of responsibility.
 * Customer centric - continuous research to understand customer, trends, and shifts in the competitive landscape.
 * Owns concept & design for their assignment - ensuring it supports Brand Design Direction, Concept, and line plan needs.
 * Research materials, select fabric and trims & work closely with our print team to bring all elements of textile application to life.
 * Partners with design leadership to color the line.
 * Supports design leadership to build and curate all visual tools needed to support seasonal story telling for their assignment / team.
 * Builds strong, synergistic relationships with all cross functional partners.
 * Promotes a culture of continuous improvement that pushes innovation and accelerates expected outcomes.
