## About the Role

* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience
 * 8+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
 * Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practical use cases for engineering acceleration.
 * Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
 * Experience with AWS and containerized deployments using Docker.
 * Experience with EKS, ECS, Fargate, CI/CD, and DevOps practices..
 * Strong understanding of secure coding practices, relational databases, and DevOps.
 * Knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL is a plus.
 * Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

## Description

* Lead the design and development of scalable, secure applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and modern engineering practices.
 * Design, develop, deploy, and support microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience containerizing services using Docker and deploying them across AWS and on-premise environments.
 * Work closely with the product/business organization on strategic planning to define product roadmaps and align with technical roadmaps.
 * Drive modernization of legacy applications toward microservices, APIs, containerization, and cloud-native platforms.
 * Proactively look for opportunities to innovate, using AI tools and other methods to deliver software solutions quickly and with quality
 * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers to promote best practices and continuous learning.
 * Mentor engineers and promote best practices in software design, code quality, security, and Agile delivery.
 * Improve CI/CD, testing automation, observability, and operational reliability.
