Preferred Qualifications * Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent SD WAN and security vendor certifications. * Experience in a global IT distribution, technology services, or similarly complex enterprise environment. * Familiarity with network security and voice or unified communications disciplines, given the close partnership with those functions. * Experience building or scaling a team through a period of organizational change or M and A integration. * Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus. * Able to create and conduct formal presentations. * Able to interact effectively with all levels of management. * Able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results. * Possesses strong multi-cultural interpersonal skills. * Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive. * Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion. * Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines. * Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities. * Able to work independently with minimum supervision. * Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information * Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others. * Able to exhibit ability to be sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others. * Able to quickly learn new systems and technology. * Able to use relevant computer system applications at an advanced level. ## Description The Senior Manager, Network Engineering (Americas) is a senior technical leader who partners with peer leaders and solution architects to shape network engineering strategy and technology roadmap, while owning execution, delivery, and budget for the Americas region, spanning sites throughout North America and Latin America. Reporting directly to the VP, Network and Voice Services, this role is a peer to the Network Engineering EMEA, and together the two roles form the discipline based, globally minded leadership structure for network engineering. The Senior Manager is accountable for operationalizing the technology roadmap, including multi year modernization initiatives such as SD WAN and SASE adoption, network observability maturity, and budget ownership for the Americas region, while partnering with the Principal Architect and solution architects on global reference designs and standards.
