## About the Role

* Strong commercial AWS CDK experience is essential. Candidates without AWS CDK experience cannot be considered.
 * Proven senior-level experience across Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering or DevOps.
 * Strong hands-on AWS experience.
 * Strong programming experience with TypeScript or Python, with TypeScript preferred.
 * Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
 * Containerisation experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, ECS or similar.
 * Monitoring and observability experience using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, AppDynamics or similar.
 * Strong understanding of cloud security, resilience and infrastructure automation.
 * Previous experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership.
 * AWS Associate certification would be advantageous but is not essential where strong AWS experience can be demonstrated.

This Senior Site Reliability Engineer opportunity would suit someone who wants to remain highly technical while also having influence over engineering standards, platform reliability and the development of other engineers.

## Description

* Design, build and maintain scalable, secure AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK.
 * Drive improvements across platform reliability, automation and infrastructure as code.
 * Implement and improve CI/CD practices across the engineering environment.
 * Enhance monitoring, observability and incident management.
 * Improve cloud performance, resilience and operational efficiency.
 * Work closely with engineering, architecture and delivery teams.
 * Mentor and support engineers, promoting strong SRE and DevOps practices.
 * Contribute to technical direction, architecture discussions and continuous improvement.
