Facet relies on dedicated teams across financial planning, sales, support, and investment operations to support tens of thousands of members nationwide. Our bespoke software is essential to their daily workflows. This is a crucial role for a designer who finds deep satisfaction in untangling complex workflows, designing for dense information architecture, and advocating for internal users. Stepping into an active and highly energized space, your first mandate is to take over and lead UX research for our internal tools. From there, the goal is to architect scalable, intuitive mental models and interfaces that optimize complex daily tasks. By partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering, this role transforms legacy tools into streamlined workspaces. Ultimately, this work elevates our staff's ability to operate efficiently without sacrificing the top-tier service our members expect. While the immediate priority is redesigning the core platform to increase financial planner capacity, reduce onboarding friction, and drive business unit economics, the scope of this opportunity also extends to critical tools used across our entire internal ecosystem. Responsibilities: * Own the complete design process for Facet's internal, web-based software tools from problem framing and information architecture through UI design, prototyping, and shipping. * Translate core planning and operational mental models into clear, intuitive experiences and dense UI patterns that enable Facet's unified philosophy to be executed consistently. * Untangle legacy information architecture across multiple internal surfaces by consolidating fragmented tools and duplicate actions into logical, efficient workflows. * Design comprehensive workflow solutions for our planners and sales teams, optimizing how they schedule meetings, capture notes, answer messages, and manager daily tasks. * Conduct ongoing research with Facet's internal teams to validate interaction patterns, surface unmet workflow needs, and advocate for power users who spend the majority of their day in these tools. * Design interfaces that clearly communicate exactly what the tools are doing, giving our teams the confidence to rely on automations rather than falling back on manual habits. * Make pragmatic design decisions, knowing when to go deep on UX craft and when to ship scrappy, functional solutions that move operational efficiency forward toward business targets., Own and expand customer relationships across the Western United States for a cloud-based healthcare genomics platform. Drive adoption, usage, and account growth within hospitals, laboratories, and healthcare organizations; identify expansion opportunities; navigate complex stakeholder groups; provide account support; and partner with sales teams on customer meetings and commercial development. The field-based role requires approximately 30-40% territory travel. ## Related Videos - [Boost Productivity with AI: Figma & Playwright MCP Workflows - Aris Markogiannakis](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1768-boost-productivity-with-ai-figma-playwright-mcp-workflows-aris-markogiannakis) - [Designing UX for SRE Agents in High-Stakes Incidents](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100003-designing-ux-for-sre-agents-in-high-stakes-incidents) - [Design Patterns For AI Products in 2026](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100255-design-patterns-for-ai-products-in-2026) - [Alibaba Big Data and Machine Learning Technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/37-alibaba-big-data-and-machine-learning-technology) - [Designing the Future of Human<>Agent Collaboration](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1447-designing-the-future-of-human-agent-collaboration) - [Insight into AI-Driven Design](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1016-insight-into-ai-driven-design) ## Related Articles - [The future is here: How artificial intelligence is influencing UX design](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/65-the-future-is-here-how-artificial-intelligence-is-influencing-ux-design) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [How to Become an AI Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/331-how-to-become-an-ai-engineer) - [Graph and AI Trends 2026: Why Is AI Running but Not Yet Delivering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/680-graph-and-ai-trends-2026-why-is-ai-running-but-not-yet-delivering) - [Top AI Tools for Developers in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/560-top-ai-tools-for-developers-in-2025) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix)
