## About the Role

 * Embraces new responsibilities and eagerly acquires new skill sets as needed to support evolving project and industry demands., * B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or related field)
 * 5+ years of transmission line engineering experience (design, analysis, modeling, or similar)
 * 5+ years of experience working with an electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm
 * 5+ years of experience working in PLS-CADD

 * Knowledge of the practical application of industry standards such as: NESC , IEEE , ANSI , FERC-881 , and FAC-008 standards
 * Ability to plan and manage assignments and clearly communicate barriers to complete tasks on budget/schedule

## Description

* Responsible for transmission line designs from conceptual engineering through final design, including EFM, conductor sizing, induction, impedance, losses, and voltage drop analysis.
 * Provides senior-level technical expertise ensuring technical accuracy, best practices, and industry-leading design solutions.
 * Perform key engineering studies such as conductor economic evaluations, lightning performance, grounding calculations, and electrical clearance determinations per NESC and applicable standards.
 * Interpret and apply regulatory requirements including NERC, FERC, and regional standards, and ensure compliance across project deliverables.
 * Prepare and review technical documentation such as specifications, data sheets, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor drawings, and purchase recommendations.
 * Collaborate with project managers on scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, construction support, and change order management.
 * Perform and review QA/QC for engineering deliverables, production drawings, CAD outputs, and construction administration activities, resolving design-related field issues.
 * Conduct and lead field inspections , measurements, calculations, and installation reviews for both public and private clients.
 * Develop and present technical reports , support marketing and business development efforts, and build strong relationships with clients and contractors.
