This position implements, administers, and supports assigned systems under minimal to no supervision, and has a thorough understanding of Epic modules or clinical applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations. The Analyst III independently addresses issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity, delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts across the organization, and serves as an informal leader within the team - mentoring Application Analyst I and II staff, modeling self-direction and continuous growth, and helping the team develop and improve rather than defaulting to the status quo., * Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or Health Administration, Management Systems, Technology, Health Information Management, or a directly related field from an accredited college or university * Candidates with five (5) years of work experience in a healthcare or general office setting in addition to 7 years of analyst experience may substitute for the degree requirement Experience Qualifications * 7 or more years of Application Analyst experience, with a demonstrated track record of progressively responsible, directly related work. This role will be able to lead and participate in Escalation Bridges To restore service in the event of an outage. The analyst 3 will be capable to working independently and provide analysis for support issues and implementation methods that align to enterprise standards while ensuring data model adherence. This role will proactively identify issues within the environment and provide proactive measures to ensure clinical operations stability. Mentor to Analysts 1-2., * Provide tier-2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required * Implementation, Upgrades & Enhancements * Perform a major role in complex software upgrade initiatives * Lead small- to medium-complexity new software installations and enhancement requests * Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department policies and procedures * Analysis, Design & Problem Solving * Act as a technology subject matter expert and clearly communicate technical concepts in business terms between and across different groups while influencing outcomes * Continually identify opportunities for functional and stability improvement in applications, and constructively challenge existing approaches when a better solution exists * Identify system optimization and enhancement opportunities and collaborate with vendors and other IT analysts to design and implement effective solutions * Anticipate and resolve system problems; proactively identify and resolve technical debt * Research issues and use independent analysis and judgment to produce solution options - including alternative solutions when necessary to address system limitations - for complex and/or controversial matters, including pros, cons, risks, benefits, costs, and unintended consequences. Collaboratively consult with Platform Experts on identifying best way to solve complex novel problems * Documentation * Maintain up-to-date project documents for all initiatives, including technical details, user expectations, project goals, work effort, accountability, and deliverables * Document routine and complex workflows and support activities using established templates and standards * Collaboration & Mentorship * Mentor Application Analyst I and II team members, providing hands-on guidance on technical tasks, Epic or clinical application build practices, workflow analysis, and professional growth to support their progression toward Analyst II or III * Provide analytical assistance to junior team members to resolve application incidents, maintenance items, and enhancement requests * Serve as an informal leader within the team - modeling self-direction, curiosity, initiative, and a focus on continuous growth and development for self and others * Coordinate application support with other information technology teams, including Infrastructure, Integration, Enterprise Analytics, and the help desk * Work with and mentor junior staff members to document workflows * Meetings & Governance * Participate in and frequently facilitate/organize team and cross-team meetings, and maintain appropriate meeting records.
