Additional Skills & Preferences * Prior experience using AI tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, automation tools, or AI-assisted research/analytics tools) in an academic, project, or work setting. * Demonstrated ability to independently apply technology, techniques, and tools, and to understand and implement ETL/ELT processes, data quality checks, data models, and data pipeline designs. * Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or Java. * Experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). * Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom. * Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, or similar). * Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure). * Familiarity with basic/intermediate data cleansing steps and transformations. ## Description The Data Engineers design, develop, and maintain data solutions for analytics, reporting, and integrations that support Lilly's Technology organization. As a Data Engineer, you will design and build data pipelines, optimize database designs, and work closely with data scientists, architects, and analysts to ensure data quality and accessibility, with the opportunity to solve real healthcare challenges through innovative technology. As part of Lilly's commitment to innovation, you will have the opportunity to build fluency with AI tools used across the business.
