## About the Role

POS is preferred but if we have an excellent embedded C programmer that doesn't have POS I'd like to see them as well, just indicate on the submittal.

Top Three Skills:

 1. C Programmer(4-5 years) 2. C++ 3. POS (point of sale), * Excellent C skills.

 * Embedded systems experience is a must.

 * Experience in the POS or financial transaction processing industry STRONGLY preferred.

 * A results-oriented attitude is a must.

 * Your peers consider you a top performer; you are both very fast and very effective.

 * Ability to plan a project for yourself and others so that all milestones are met or exceeded.

 * Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.

 * Strong oral and written communications skills.

 * Ability to take ownership of large tasks and/or projects with little or no assistance from others.

 * Participates in design, documentation, and code reviews.

 * Perform through unit, integration and system testing.

 * Support Quality Assurance testing.

 * Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems., * Education/Certification: B.S./B.A., technical certification, or equivalent experience

 * Required Knowledge: Previous application development experience in C or C++ with terminals from one or more of the following POS equipment vendors: VeriFone, Hypercom or Equinox

 * Experience Required: 4-8+ years work experience

## Description

HPS works with different POS vendors that all have different terminal flavors so it isn't always a typical Unix, Linux or Windows since they are all custom. They will also be creating their own custom libraries.
